{"id":846,"date":"2011-01-09T22:37:25","date_gmt":"2011-01-09T22:37:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mrericsir.com\/blog\/?p=846"},"modified":"2023-07-14T16:42:02","modified_gmt":"2023-07-14T16:42:02","slug":"new-restaurant-for-18th-and-dolores","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mrericsir.com\/blog\/local\/new-restaurant-for-18th-and-dolores\/","title":{"rendered":"New restaurant for 18th and Dolores"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last night I happened to notice this Planning Dept. application for a building permit on the former Studio 3579 space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/mrericsir\/5340234297\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5290\/5340234297_ff2a4ec60e.jpg\" alt=\"Planning permit, 18th and Dolores\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you recall, Studio 3579 was a recently shuttered store on the corner of 18th and Dolores, across from Dolores Park Cafe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The planning permit indicates that they&#8217;re building out a &#8220;full service&#8221; restaurant. Considering the diminutive size of the place, one has to wonder if they&#8217;re going to be cooking with an Easy-Bake Oven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Oh and before you ask, Ashton Richards appears to be a local architect, not a restauranteur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>UPDATE:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uptownalmanac.com\">KevMo<\/a> points out that this will be a <a href=\"http:\/\/sanfrancisco.grubstreet.com\/2010\/11\/expect_to_see_a_new_namu_by_do.html\">sushi joint.<\/a> But isn&#8217;t the market for sushi in the Mission Dolores area already way past saturation point?
