It&#8217;s told with dancers, musicians, surreal costumes, lights, drones, and even robots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Without going too much into spoiler territory as there are still a few show dates remaining, the gist of the story is one of a life tragically cut short, followed by a visit to a mystical realm and a celebration. It&#8217;s a tale as old as time adapted to the present day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the latest endeavor from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrericsir.com\/blog\/tag\/nonchalance\/\" title=\"\">Nonchalance<\/a>, which as I understand it is now Jeff Hull and whoever he feels like working with these days. Interestingly while his previous projects seemed hidden &#8212; often in plain sight &#8212; this one has already been covered (with various spoilers, be warned!) by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/travel\/story\/2025-09-11\/cortege-los-angeles-equestrian-center-immersive-show-review\" title=\"\">L.A. Times<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/davidhochman\/2025\/09\/14\/is-the-cortge-the-future-of-entertainment-or-just-instagram-bait\/\" title=\"\">Forbes<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;ll admit that I came all the way to Los Angeles primarily to see this; however my nagging thought leading up to this was &#8220;Is Jeff going to try to get us to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrericsir.com\/blog\/local\/how-i-got-mentioned-in-an-art-history-dissertation\/\" title=\"\">make tea again?<\/a>&#8221; The answer: no. The tea was already prepared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>My recommendation:<\/strong> Though more spectacle than story, The Cort\u00e8ge isn&#8217;t like anything you&#8217;ve seen before.
